The low beam headlight on the driver’s side (left) of my first-generation C3 stopped working. I already replaced the bulb, but it didn’t solve the problem. Which fuse should I check on the BSM?

In Citroën vehicles, the low and high beam headlights usually have individual protection for each side, located on the engine compartment.

  • Focused Model: Citroën C3 First Generation (until 2012).
  • Location of Protection: The fuse is in Engine Service Module (BSM), located under the hood, near the battery.
  • Correct Fuse: The low beam headlight on the left (driver’s side) is typically protected by a fuse. F5, with amperage of 15A (for halogen bulbs). The right headlight is protected by an adjacent fuse (usually F6).

Diagnosis: If the bulb has been replaced and the headlight is still off, it is highly likely that the fuse is blown. F5 (15A) It has blown. Replace it with one of the same color and amperage. If the fuse blows again shortly after replacement, there is a problem. short circuit The problem is in the headlight wiring, and the cause should be investigated by an electrician (frayed wires or moisture in the headlight connector).
