On-board computer screen blurring or going blank (Citroën C4)

This is a chronic hardware problem in displays of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) of C4 models manufactured between 2007 and 2012.

• Focused Model: Citroën C4 Hatch, Pallas and VTR.
• The Real Cause: The central display does not have good thermal resistance. When the car’s interior heats up (especially if it’s in the sun), the liquid crystals in the screen lose their correct polarization. The result is black spots that start at the edges and spread, or the letters that become so faint that they are illegible.
