The battery in the Citroën Xsara, including the Picasso model, is located under the driver’s seat. To access it, you need to withdraw funds from the bank, which can be done in two main ways:
- Some models have a latch under the seat that, when activated, allows the seat to be lifted to expose the battery.
- In other cases, it is necessary to loosen Torx-type screws that hold the seat in place in order to remove it and access the battery.
The battery is usually protected by a cover or housing to prevent dirt and damage. This location differs from most vehicles, which have the battery in the engine compartment.
To perform a replacement or maintenance, disconnect the battery cables (starting with the negative terminal), carefully remove the battery bank, perform the work, and then reinstall the components.
