What happens: You take your car to the mechanic, he tries to connect the scanner to read the errors, but the device either doesn’t turn on or says “Vehicle Communication Failure”.
Where is he: Located in BSI (Inner Box). It usually shares the circuit with the radio or courtesy lights.
- Possible Solution: The OBD2 port needs power on Pin 16 to power the scanner. If you used any counterfeit accessories in the port or if the radio was installed incorrectly, the fuse will blow. Without this fuse, it is impossible to diagnose the car electronically.
