What happens: You turn the key, the starter motor spins hard, but the car won’t start at all. You don’t hear that faint “buzzing” sound coming from the back seat (the fuel pump pumping).
Where is he: Located in BSM (Under-hood fuse box). It’s the fuse. F10 15A (Blue).
- Possible Solution: If the starter motor turns but there is no explosion, check the F10 fuse. It protects the fuel pump and injector circuit. Often, an old fuel pump starts to “weigh down” and consumes more current, causing the fuse to blow as a safety precaution. If you replace it and it blows again, your pump is on its last legs.
