- When to do it: After replacing the battery, if the car is exhibiting strange electronic behavior or after a power outage.
- Step by Step (Required):
- Turn off all the lights, turn off the radio, and close the doors (leave the driver’s side window open for safety to reach the key).
- Turn off the ignition and Don’t touch anything. for at least 3 minutes. You will hear a “click” coming from the panel — that’s the BSI entering sleep mode (Sleep Mode).
- Disconnect the cable. positive Disconnect the battery for 15 seconds and plug it back in.
- Please wait a little longer. 2 minutes without connecting anything (so that the modules recognize each other).
- Turn on the ignition only (without starting the engine) and wait 10 seconds. Now you can start the engine and reset the clock and windows.
Attention: Never disconnect the battery with the ignition on or immediately after turning off the engine. This can corrupt the BSI software and prevent the car from starting!
