The French automaker Citroën, through Stellantis Automóveis Brasil, announced a recall of three popular models due to a technical problem that could endanger the lives of vehicle occupants.
Affected Models
The recall covers the following vehicles equipped with a T3 engine:
- Citroën C3: year/model 2025
- Citroën Basalt: year/model 2025
- Citroën C3 Aircross: model years 2023 to 2025
The Problem Identified
A defect has been detected in the alignment between the turbine and the catalytic converter of the vehicles. This fault can cause the leakage of untreated toxic gases directly into the passenger compartment, seriously compromising the air quality breathed by the occupants.

According to the manufacturer, the problem poses serious health risks and, in extreme situations, can cause property damage, physical injuries, or even be fatal to occupants and third parties.
How to proceed
Owners of affected vehicles should:
- Schedule an appointment starting May 26, 2025
- Find a Citroën dealership to carry out the free repair
- Check if your vehicle is included. by checking the chassis number
The procedure involves checking and, when necessary, correctly realigning the turbine and the catalytic converter. The estimated repair time is approximately one hour.
